Why Get Your LPA Reviewed

An LPA that was right for you when it was made isn't always right for you now. A change in your attorneys' circumstances, such as a divorce, a house move, or simply a change of mind about who you'd want acting for you, can mean your existing LPA no longer works the way you'd expect.

Our LPA Check & Review service gives you a clear, professional answer: is your current LPA still valid and registered, does it still reflect who you want to act for you, and if not, what needs to change.

One Simple Price

What We Check

A Thorough, Honest Review

Signing & Execution

Was your LPA signed and witnessed correctly, in the right order, by you, your certificate provider, and your attorneys?

Registration

Is your LPA registered with the Office of the Public Guardian? An LPA generally cannot be used until it's registered.

Life Events

Has anything happened since that could affect it, such as divorce, which can end a spouse's appointment as attorney, or the death or incapacity of an attorney?

People Named In It

Are your attorneys, replacement attorneys and certificate provider still who you'd choose today, and are they still able and willing to act?

Your Wishes

Does it still reflect your current wishes and any instructions or preferences you've included?

What's Included

Clear From Start to Finish

Full Document Review

A thorough check of your existing LPA against current law and your present circumstances.

Written Summary

A clear, plain-English report telling you exactly what's fine, what's changed, and what, if anything, needs attention.

A Clear Recommendation

Whether your LPA still stands as-is, needs a small amendment, or would be better replaced with a new one.

No Obligation

If your LPA is still valid, registered and current, that's confirmed in writing with nothing further to do.

Common Reasons to Get a Review

How It Works

Simple, Thorough, No Pressure

1
Book & Pay

Once you book, we'll send an invoice. Payment is required upfront before your review is confirmed.

2
Receive Your Questionnaire

Once payment is received, we'll email you a short questionnaire about your current circumstances.

3
Send It Back With Your LPA

Complete the questionnaire and send it back along with clear photos or a scan of your existing LPA, every page, including where it was signed and witnessed. Your review is booked once we receive both.

4
We Review It

We check it against the points above and against your current circumstances and wishes.

5
You Get a Clear Answer

A written summary within 5–7 working days, with a plain recommendation on what, if anything, to do next.

6
Update If Needed

If you instruct us within 30 days of receiving your review, your fee is deducted from a rewrite or amendment.

Sending your LPA: you don't need to post your original. Clear photos or a scan of every page, using a scanning app such as Genius Scan or Adobe Scan works well, is all we need. Please keep your original safe at home until your review is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Clear photos or a scan of every page, including where it was signed and witnessed, is all we need. Your original stays safely with you at home throughout the review.
No. We can review an LPA written by a solicitor, another Will and LPA writing service, or done yourself, as long as it's a signed, physical document.
Most reviews are completed within 5–7 working days of payment and us receiving your existing LPA and a short questionnaire about your current circumstances.
We'll explain exactly what's changed or missing, and recommend whether a small amendment or a full new LPA is the right fix. If you instruct us within 30 days of receiving your review, your £49 fee is deducted from either.
We'll send you an invoice for £49 when you book. Once paid, we'll email you a short questionnaire. Your review is booked once you send back the completed questionnaire along with photos or a scan of your existing LPA.
If your LPA was validly signed, witnessed and registered, and nothing has happened to end an attorney's appointment, such as divorce, it generally remains legally valid even if it's outdated. The risk is that it may no longer reflect who you'd want acting for you, or it may never have been registered at all.
We check your LPA was signed and witnessed correctly, whether it's registered with the Office of the Public Guardian, whether any life events since, such as divorce, death or incapacity of an attorney, affect it, and whether your named attorneys, replacement attorneys and certificate provider are still correct and reflect your current wishes.
The £49 covers the review itself either way. If your LPA is still valid, registered and current, you'll simply have that confirmed in writing with nothing further to pay.
We recommend a review every three years, or sooner after marriage, divorce, a change in your attorneys' circumstances, or a significant change in your health or circumstances.
